What is OT?

 

Occupational Therapists help people engage in everyday meaningful activities, or "occupations".

For a child these "occupations" are the things they need to do, have to do, and want to do, 

and include-

  • playing
  • learning at kindy/school
  • socialising/ being a friend
  • completing self care activities such as eating, toileting ,dressing and sleeping.



Nurture Occupational Therapists provide individualised, goal focused  Occupational Therapy  to assist children  become as independent as possible  in daily activities, or öccupations". 

Occupational therapists help children to do these every day activities, by addressing the underlying and foundation skills they need through fun, individualised, family centred therapy that builds on your childs strengths, and individual interests.

Therapy sessions can be in the home, clinic (based in Buderim), school or kindy/daycare, (with  permission).
